Impala India Nero Profondo — commercially known as Impala India, Regal Black, or Indian Black — is a Precambrian diorite from Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, India. The stone has a medium-grained, non-directional texture and a deep, uniform black colour suitable for polished applications. Polish is durable outdoors. Density 2970 kg/m³, compressive strength 263 MPa, water absorption 0.26%. Acid- and frost-resistant. The 'Nero Profondo' suffix (Italian: deep black) is a commercial colour descriptor used by a European supplier and is not a separate DNSA trade name.
