Über Travertin Noce V C Romano
Travertin Noce V C Romano — commercially known as Travertino Romano Noce or Travertino Tivoli Noce — is a brown-toned sedimentary travertine from the classic Roman travertine belt of Lazio, Italy. The quarry area is Valle Pilella in the Province of Rome, immediately adjacent to the world-famous Tivoli/Rapolano deposits. 'V C' (vein cut) specifies the slab orientation: cut perpendicular to the depositional axis, which yields a layered, banded appearance. Color ranges from warm walnut-brown to medium grey-brown, often with lighter creamy bands and characteristic travertine voids. Being a calcareous stone, it is acid-sensitive and requires sealing; it performs well in interior applications including flooring, wall cladding, and countertops. The name 'Noce' (walnut) distinguishes it from lighter Roman travertine varieties such as Travertino Romano Chiaro or Silver Romano.
