Argentum (also Travertino Argento, Argentum Travertine) is a silver-beige travertine quarried in Tivoli, in the Lazio region near Rome, Italy. 'Argentum' is the Latin word for silver, used as a market name in German-speaking markets. The stone belongs to the classical Roman travertine family; the 'Argento' variant is characterised by a slightly cooler, silvery-beige tone compared to the classic warm ivory travertine. StoneContact (s22793) provides the only available technical data: density 2517 kg/m³, water absorption 0.58%, flexural 10.21–11.60 MPa, compressive 68.39–73.22 MPa. The input group 'Marble' reflects commercial practice (travertine is often sold under the marble category).
