Silver Iran V C (ZANJAN SILVER VEIN, AMAZON SILVER TRAVERTIN) is a Cenozoic travertine quarried near Zanjan, northwestern Iran. DNSA #6065: Travertin, Kainozoikum, Sedimentgesteine, unregelmäßig gewolkt (irregularly clouded). Available in Germany, occasionally used. 'V C' in the trade name indicates vein-cut orientation (slab cut perpendicular to the growth direction, revealing the banded vein character). No quantitative technical data (density, strength, absorption) in DNSA or StoneContact.
