Ocean Blue (OCEAN BLUE) is a Precambrian gneiss quarried near Pofadder, Northern Cape (near the Namibian border), South Africa. DNSA #5352: Gneis, Präkambrium, Metamorphe Gesteine. Medium- to coarse-grained, layered/direction-oriented. Input group 'Quartzite' is commercial; DNSA correctly classifies as Gneiss. Full technical data: density 2720 kg/m3, compressive strength 201.4 MPa, flexural strength 9.8 MPa, water absorption 0.13 wt.%, porosity 0.35 vol.%, thermal expansion 0.487 mm/m/100K. Acid-resistant. Frost-resistant. Polish durable outdoors. Suitable for flooring. Occasionally used in Germany.
