Über Mahogany Dakota Amerika
Mahogany Dakota Amerika is the European trade name for Dakota Mahogany Granite, quarried in Milbank, Brown County, South Dakota. It is one of the best-known American granites, widely used for monuments, memorials, countertops, and exterior paving. DNSA records it as "Dakota Royal Mahogany" (comp 181.71 MPa) and "Dakota Red" (comp 159 MPa, Milbank) — color variants from the same quarry complex. Medium-grained, predominantly isotropic Precambrian granite with mahogany-brown to reddish-brown color. Technically strong with density 2661-2690 kg/m3, excellent acid and frost resistance. SC confirms the USA origin and adds additional detail pages for related variants.
