Lila Gerais (also Lilla Gerais, Amethyst Granite) is a fine- to medium-grained gneiss quarried at Itapecerica/Campo Belo, Minas Gerais, Brazil. DNSA #3191 confirms identity and origin; SC source-4 provides technical data: density 2597 kg/m3, compressive 172.9-216.6 MPa, flexural 14.6-16.5 MPa, water absorption 0.12-0.16%. The stone is commercially sold as granite but is petrographically a gneiss. Its defining feature is a pale pink to lavender base with dark purple, black, and grey accents -- reflected in the Chinese market name Zi Shuijing (Amethyst).
