Über Estremoz Typ 710

Estremoz Typ 710 is a commercial grade designation within the Estremoz marble family quarried in the Estremoz–Borba–Vila Viçosa triangle of Alentejo, Portugal. This white to cream, occasionally pinkish, fine- to medium-grained Cambrian metamorphic marble has been quarried in Portugal for centuries and is one of the most important marble production zones in Europe. 'Typ 710' is a supplier-level product type code with no direct correspondence to a specific DNSA stone entry. Technical data from DNSA source-8 (ESTREMOZ CREME CARRASCAL, Stein 1043): density 2720 kg/m³, compressive strength 70.2 MPa (frost 78.0 MPa), abrasion 1.6 cm³/50cm² (Italian norm), flexural strength 18.2 MPa, water absorption 0.10%. The stone is acid-sensitive (all carbonate marble) and polish durability is limited outdoors. Frost resistance is assessed as probable. Suitable for interior and exterior applications where acid exposure is controlled.
