Estremoz Rosa (DNSA Stein 855, ESTREMOZ ROSA VENADO; trade names Rosa Portogallo, Rosa Portugal, Rosa Aurora, Rosa Borba) is a pink to rose-cream Cambrian marble from the Estremoz-Vila Vicosa marble belt in Alentejo, Portugal. One of the most widely traded Portuguese marbles. Primary data from DNSA Stein 855 (VENADO): density 2712 kg/m3, comp 88.7 MPa (94.8 after frost), flex 15.9 MPa, WA 0.07%, porosity 0.2%, abrasion 2.1 mm, thermal expansion 0.98 mm/m/100K. DNSA Stein 1737 (VERGADA) corroborates with similar values (comp 70.2, flex 18.2, WA 0.10%). Acid-sensitive; polish not durable outdoors.
