Über Estremoz Corrente

Estremoz Corrente (Corrente = common/standard grade) is a white marble quarried in the Estremoz area of Evora, Portugal. Estremoz marbles are among Portugal's most important natural stone exports, formed during the Paleozoic era. The Corrente designation distinguishes the standard commercial grade from higher grades such as Branco Extra. Technical data from StoneContact s9960: density 2711 kg/m3, compressive strength 96.0 MPa, flexural strength 27.6 MPa, water absorption 0.07%. DNSA has multiple Estremoz entries but none specifically for the Corrente grade; the Corrente is part of the broader Estremoz white marble family including Branco Estremoz, Estremoz Bianco, and Estremoz White.
