Über Ebru Arabesque Pirgon

Ebru Arabesque Pirgon is a marble variety from the Pirgon quarry in Drama Prefecture, northern Greece. "Ebru" refers to the marble-like swirling arabesque pattern typical of this variety. SC source-2 (Pirgon Ebru Arabesque Marble, s21325) provides technical data: density 2820 kg/m3, compressive strength 98.5 MPa, flexural strength 6.3 MPa, water absorption 0.4%. These values are identical to the co-quarried Pirgon Nivatus, consistent with the same geological formation. The low flexural strength (6.3 MPa) is a notable limitation for large-format or cantilevered applications. As a carbonate marble the stone is acid-sensitive.
