Cabernet Brown (DNSA Stein 5696; trade name CABERNET BROWN; queue name "Cabernet") is a Precambrian dacite from northeast Brazil. Geologically volcanic (igneous), commercially classified as "granite." Very fine-grained, brecciated texture. Mineral composition: plagioclase 40%, microcline 31%, quartz 15%, augite 4.3%, apatite 2-3%. DNSA technical data: density 2645 kg/m3, compressive strength 130.39 MPa (132.02 MPa after frost), flexural strength 19.82 MPa, abrasion 8.32 mm (Italian norm). No WA data in DNSA. Polish durable for exterior. Acid-resistant within normal range. Queue group "Sandstone" is incorrect — the stone is a dacite (volcanic igneous rock), not a sedimentary sandstone.
