Amazon Star (DNSA AMAZONE BLUE / AMAZONE STAR, Stein 4892) is a coarse-grained Precambrian plutonic granite quarried at Machadinho D'Oeste in the Rondônia state of Brazil. SC source s4633 (Amazon Star Granite, Cacoal, Rondônia) confirms the same origin region and provides independently consistent technical data. Mineral composition from DNSA: 47% alkali-feldspar, 25% quartz, 20% plagioclase, 5% hornblende, 3% biotite — a typical Brazilian Precambrian syenitic granite. Technical data (DNSA authoritative): density 2690 kg/m3, compressive strength 129 MPa, flexural strength 15.4 MPa, WA 0.08%, abrasion 0.65 cm3/50cm2, thermal expansion 0.6 mm/m/100K. Acid-resistant and frost-resistant per DNSA. Suitable for interior and exterior applications including flooring, cladding, countertops, and paving. Three other stones (RIO AMAZONAS, BLUE BUTTERFLY from DNSA) appeared in the search but are separate products and have been excluded.
