Über Travertin Noce C C Turco
Storm Noce (DNSA #6076: STORM NOCE = STORM NOCHE) is a Cenozoic travertine quarried near Denizli, Turkey. Noce (Italian: walnut) refers to the warm grey-brown colourway. The stone has a spotted/mottled (gefleckt) structure typical of Turkish travertines. DNSA technical data: density 2500 kg/m3, compressive strength 57.0 MPa, abrasion resistance 28.7 cm3/50cm2, water absorption 1.0%. Acid-sensitive (carbonate travertine). Probably frost-resistant. Only matte polish achievable; not suitable for high-gloss applications. Floor suitability is marginal -- DNSA notes low abrasion resistance and difficult cleaning. Occasionally used in Germany. INSK 75.22. Input name "Travertin Noce C C Turco" uses a grade/product qualifier (C C); DNSA identifies the base stone as Storm Noce.
