Sapphire Blue — DNSA primary name ZEPHYR BLUE (#3136) with alias SAPPHIRE BLUE — is a coarse-grained Precambrian stone from Kasipet, Warangal District, Telangana, India. Despite commercial classification as granite, DNSA identifies the geological group as metamorphic with a layered, direction-oriented structure, suggesting a granitic gneiss or granulite. Technical properties from DNSA: density 2730 kg/m3, compressive strength 195.9 MPa, flexural strength 14.2 MPa, water absorption 0.32%, thermal expansion 0.61 mm/m/100K. Acid-resistant and frost-resistant; polished finish durable outdoors.
