The DNSA anchor is BAMBUI MULTICOLOR SLATE (#900), a Precambrian argillite (Tonschiefer) from Paraopeba, north of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. It is also marketed as Bambui Rusty Slate, Autumn Leaves, Greyhound Color, and Rusty Slate. The stone has a spotted, multicoloured structure typical of Brazilian slate products from Minas Gerais. Technical data from DNSA #900 (source-2): density 2720 kg/m3, flexural strength 31.3 MPa, water absorption 0.49%, abrasion resistance 7.54 (Italian norm). Only fine grinding is possible (no high polish). Frost-resistant and acid-resistant. Suitable for flooring, though lacks hardstone abrasion resistance.
