Konya Black, commercially sold as Aksehir Black or Aksehir Siyahi, is a dark Triassic limestone from the Aksehir district of Konya province, Turkey. It has a speckled black appearance and accepts a good polish, but like most limestones it is acid-sensitive and its polished finish deteriorates in outdoor exposure. Floor use is appropriate but abrasion resistance is lower than hard rocks. DNSA (Stein 348) data: density 2660 kg/m³, compressive strength 45.9 MPa, flexural strength 13.1 MPa, water absorption 0.22%, porosity 1.12 vol%.
