Cleopatra Light (Giallo Cleopatra Light Marble) is a lighter-toned variant of the Giallo Cleopatra (DNSA #5358: GIALLO CLEOPATRA = GIALLO SINAI) -- a Tertiary limestone quarried at Djebel Katharina in the Sinai peninsula, Egypt. Warm gold-yellow to cream tones with a largely undirected (weitgehend richtungslos) structure. Also known as Sunny Gold, Cleopatra Gold, Sinai Gold, and numerous other trade names. SC s353 technical data: density 2630 kg/m3, compressive strength 146.86 MPa, flexural strength 12.41 MPa, water absorption 0.87%. Acid-sensitive (carbonate limestone). Interior and exterior suitable. Widely used for countertops, flooring, wall cladding, stairs, and facade applications. Occasionally used in Germany (DNSA). INSK 68.4 / old 8.3.27.
