Über Calacatta Cremo

Calacatta Crema is a premium white marble from the Carrara quarry district (Provincia di Massa Carrara, Toscana). It belongs to the Calacatta family, distinguished from standard Calacatta by its warmer cream-toned background with prominent gold and grey veining. This gives it a richer, more complex appearance than the brighter white Calacatta Oro. Technical properties are typical of Carrara marbles: density 2705-2725 kg/m3, compressive strength 146-150 MPa, and low water absorption (0.24-0.28%). As a calcareous marble, it is acid-sensitive and best suited to interior applications with sealing. Used primarily for countertops, wall cladding, flooring, and decorative panels.
