Arabescato Corchia (ARABESCATO CORCHIA, ARABESCATO CORCHIA CLASSICO MARBLE, CALACATTA CORCHIA MARBLE) is a Jurassic metamorphic marble quarried in the Corchia massif, Stazzema, Provincia di Lucca, Apuan Alps, Tuscany, Italy. 'Arabescato' denotes the characteristic bold arabesques (grey, beige, and dark veins on white background). No DNSA entry found; SC s3678 (Arabescato Corchia Marble, Stazzema): density 2700 kg/m3, compressive strength 101 MPa, flexural strength 13.2 MPa, water absorption 0.19-0.26%. Acid-sensitive (calcareous marble). Polish NOT durable outdoors. Marketed in China as 大花白 (Da Hua Bai). The Corchia quarry family also produces Calacatta Corchia (bolder veins, premium grade) and Corchia Venato (more linear veining).
