Brown Pearl (also Sepia Brown) is a coarse-grained Precambrian syenite (igneous plutonic rock) quarried in Brazil, in the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais area (Pasto Velho / Bocaina / Caldas). DNSA #5989 (BROWN PEARL, SEPIA BROWN) confirms origin (Brazil) and classification (Syenit, Tiefengesteine) but provides no technical data. SC s13766 (Brown Pearl Granite) is the primary technical source: density 2798 kg/m³, compressive strength 114.8 MPa, flexural strength 15.30 MPa, water absorption 0.39%. The lower compressive strength compared to typical granites is consistent with a syenite composition. Commercially marketed as granite. Input group Hard Rock is appropriate.
