Multicolor Rot Funil (trade names: FUNIL, MULTICOLOR RED FUNIL) is a Precambrian migmatite quarried in Funil, north of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As a migmatite, it is a mixed metamorphic-igneous rock with an irregularly mottled (unregelmäßig gewolkt) fine-grained structure — producing the multicolour red pattern characteristic of this stone. DNSA (Stein 3266) provides full technical data: density 2664 kg/m³, compressive 216 MPa, flexural 14.3 MPa, porosity 0.82 vol%. Rated acid-resistant and frost-resistant; polishing possible with outdoor durability. Suitable as floor covering.
