Mahogany India, commercially known as Indian Mahogany Granite or India New Mahogany Granite, is a dark brownish-red granite quarried in Tamil Nadu, India (also some sources cite Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka). The stone is characterised by its deep mahogany-brown ground colour with a consistent, fine-to-medium grain and minimal veining. It is sometimes compared to or marketed alongside the American Dakota Mahogany granite, leading to the trade alias 'Indian Dakota Mahogany'.
