LUMIX is a Brazilian vein quartz (Gangquarz) documented in DNSA #6328. White to pearlescent, largely isotropic texture, Precambrian age. Commercially marketed as 'Lumix Quartzite' or 'Lumix Marble' in the trade despite the petrographic classification as vein quartz.

Über Lumix

LUMIX is a vein quartz (Gangquarz) from Brazil, Precambrian age, with a largely directionless (isotropic) microstructure and fine grain. DNSA #6328 is the authoritative entry. Commercially the stone is sold under variants including Lumix Quartzite and Lumix Marble; SC s22064 also lists it under the Cristallo quartzite trade family (Cristallo Quartzite, Cristallo Lumix Quartzite, Branco Cristal Quartzite). The core stone is white with subtle translucency; Lumix Marble (SC s13979) provides technical data: density ~2648 kg/m³, compressive 74 MPa, flexural 13.6 MPa, water absorption 0.076%. Pink Lady Lumix is a distinct pink variant.
